DIKSHA is an app for both teachers and students. Also known as the National Teachers Platform, it makes it easy for students and teachers to connect on the web when they cannot be near each other. Not only is the app free to use, but it features tons of resources for users.

Teachers will find tons of useful resources that they can use in their classes and when teaching on the web. Check out the lesson plans that are suitable for students of all ages and classes of all types. You might find a lesson plan designed for teaching a certain type of math or a lesson plan that is perfect for students in high school. Look over the worksheets if you want an easy way to test your students. You can download and print these worksheets and pass them out in class. The sheets ensure that your students are on the same page and that they understood the materials you went over with them. DIKSHA even offers activities that you can do with students of all ages.

Students will find just as many resources through the app. It offers reviews of past lessons that allow students to go over the topics they learned about in their classes. If they have any problems, they know that they should talk to their teachers. Practice exercises are available, too. Kids who want to make sure that they understand their course materials can use those exercises before their next class.

DIKSHA can help parents who are concerned about their children, too. The app lets parents log in to see what their kids do in their classes and how well they perform in different activities. Some teachers use the app to show parents the grades that the children earned. This helps parents see what subjects their children struggle in and which are their best subjects.

This app works with all Android devices running an operating system of 4.4 or higher. Though some use the English language in the app, it offers support for those who speak Hindi, Urdu, Bengali and other languages. You need a minimum of 11MB of free storage on your device to download and use the app. It also requires your permission to access the files on your device.

It takes a few minutes to use the app because you need to set up an account first. DIKSHA asks for your full name and then has you set up a username and choose a password. You also need to enter a valid phone number. The app sends a message to your email that you need to click on to finish registering. This gives you full access to the app and all of its resources.

Make sure that you consider the flaws and issues with the app before downloading a copy. It features many videos that show the activities that you can do. Some of these videos will not load and claim that there is a problem with your internet connection, even though hundreds of other users experienced the same problem. You may find that it updates slower than you would like. Even days after finishing a task in the app, it may still show that you need to complete it. Other problems include a lack of help for those with reading issues and many bugs that cause the app to crash.

The biggest reason to download DIKSHA is that it gives you access to so many free materials and resources. Indian creators worked to create the best materials to help both teachers and their students. You'll now find interactive tasks that you can have students in the classroom or when they're at home. If you use textbooks that have QR codes inside, you can use the app to scan those codes and gain access to even more materials.

DIKSHA provides loads of support for students and their parents, too. Using the QR codes in their books will unlock new tasks and assignments that add to their lessons. They can use the practice problems in the app to test their skills and get feedback right away that shows them what they did right. Parents will also like that they can use the app to make sure that their kids keep up in all of their classes. DIKSHA is one of the best educational apps for teachers, parents and students.
